What is intention?

Intention is a deliberate or purposeful action. There is reasoning behind why you did something the way you did.

What is a lifestyle?

A lifestyle is the way a person lives.

What is intentional living?

Simply put, living with intention means living with a purpose.

Intentional living is being mindful of everything you do, say, and partake in.

Once you start being mindful of your thoughts and actions, you will see an incredible and positive shift in your life.

So why should I live intentionally?

To be quite blunt, to get the most you can out of this one life you have!

&& Why wouldn’t you?

Why would you want to go through life with meaningless thoughts and actions?

Where will that bring you??? Does just moving through the actions give you a sense of satisfaction? Does it fill your heart with joy? Does it give you a direction to go?

I hope the answer to all those questions is a resounding no.

I believe it’s crucial to start every morning being mindful.

Wake up and create intentions for your day.

Maybe you start with meditation for 5-15 minutes to clear your mind and form a blank slate. Then you could do a yoga sequence and stretch out your ailments. During this you could deep breathe and repeat positive affirmations. Once you have warmed up your mind, consider journaling a sentence, paragraph, or page. However you’re feeling, just jot it down.

The act of releasing your thoughts on to a piece of paper is such a freeing feeling. Don’t fret over to-do lists; what needs to get done will get done. Instead, focus on the bigger picture. The biggest dream you have for you, write it down and create a list of action steps. Let me tell you honey, it is not impossible. You can work your little booty off and make it happen.

Now you’re ready to begin the rest of your day. Consider this:

How do you want to impact others? Guide them? Help them?

How would you like others to feel after being in your presence??

Warm? Cozy? Comfortable? Understood? Joyful?

People will remember how you made them feel more than they will remember what you said to them; so send all the positive vibes out into the universe!

Even as simple as walking down the street I make note to smile and say hello to everyone that passes by. My intent is to make someone smile. One smile can change the world.

Another intention is going to the grocery store to provide my body with nutrients and good health. This way I buy mainly fruits and veggies and stay out of the snack aisles. However, if I walk into the grocery store with nothing on my mind I am way more tempted to buy some chocolate, popcorn, or hot Cheetos (just to name a few).

INTENTION IS EVERYTHING!

It’s not rocket science, people. It’s intending to be a better human being.

Also, once you start living with intention it will pave a way for your deepest wants and desires.

Once you are comfortable being yourself and living your purposeful life the way you want to, then things will automatically start falling into place!

The saying “your vibe attracts your tribe” really comes into play here.

The moment I decided to start taking the reigns on my own life, it has been a snowball effect of joyful opportunities. Just for example purposes: I started this blog which has led me to many wonderful people, which has led me to an opportunity to start my own business as a health and wellness coach which has led me to even more empowering people and many new dreams!! Seriously guys, I want this insane excitement for you too!

Your life doesn’t have to pause just because you’re in school or you have a kid, take advantage of it now! Right now!

I challenge you to make a list of the dreams you’ve always wanted for yourself. Look down at that list and tell yourself, “ I can do this!” And you will.

How do I know that? Well, for one, I have utter faith in you. And secondly, if you desire something strong enough you will find a way to make it happen. You just will. Once the end goal is in mind, there’s no turning back.

Now, close your eyes and envision yourself at the end goal, where you want to be, what you are doing, how you are feeling in those moments, the outcome, etc.

How did it feel? Were you on top of this world?

You deserve that feeling for yourself. You deserve that accomplishment. You deserve a win. YOU CAN DO THIS.

Mindset will make or break you. Train yourself to live the life you love.

So, that’s my “why” for intentional living. I live with intention so that I can conquer my goals, become a healthier and happier human, and be as kind as possible to the rest of humanity and the world we live in.
